Thousand Island Yacht Club

Just one more Boldt story. Wednesday night, June 19th, we stayed across from Alexandria Bay at the Thousand Island Yacht Club. It sounds swanky. And it is, in an understated way.

The clubhouse has yet to open. Apparently, the state just changed its rules and regulations regarding swimming pools at clubs and so now, as this club should be opening, it is scrambling to hire qualified people to meet the regulatory requirements. We've noted a fair amount of dislike from Albany around here. Brio wonders why.

Hopefully soon the club will open. But right now it is a ghost town.

Down at the waterfront, there are covered small boat docks where runabouts can park after coming over from town. Brio is tied up at the end of the dock.

What rhymes with A-Bay?

A-Bay, play! We are all children at heart! Tennis, golf, boating, swimming. All good for the heart and mind.

Cheers,

Brio
