This little elephant was given to me as we left the Oberoi Hotel in Agra. Simple, mass-produced and still memorable.

It was a four-hour drive from Agra to Delhi. Mostly this was on 6- and 8-lane superhighways. No cows, unlike everywhere else we looked on city streets.

We arrived in Delhi late in the day in time to join a party and the next day had lunch with Ashish, a friend of Nari's. Here's Ashish at the party we attended.

Just after we left our lunch with Ashish, Nari and I were driven first to The Lotus Temple, a Baha'i house of worship.

Then we drove on to the Qutb Minar, a tower built by the conquering king, Qutb, on the site of Hindu temples. Here is a plaque explaining the Hindu temples.

There were many structures within the Hindu temple. Here's a picture from outside the rubble and complex.

This is one more ornate and intricately-carved structure of the temple.

And now the Tower:

This is the final post for this trip. Tomorrow we re-enter the jet-age for a 15-hour trip back to Newark, NJ.

Cheers,

Brio
